Old Wayne Golf Club is a Private, 27 hole golf facility located in West Chicago, Illinois. The facility has an 18-hole course and a 9-hole executive course.
Old Wayne Golf Club, The Eighteen Hole Course opened in 1963. The Executive Nine Course opened in 1985. Both courses were designed by Charles Maddox.
The Eighteen Hole Course _________
The Eighteen Hole Course plays long, but its main difficulty is its thick rough bordering the fairways. The fairways are open and the greens are medium in size and speed. There is a stream that comes into play on two holes. The front 9 is fairly flat and wide open with little in the way of trees or hazards to get in your way should you hit it off line. The back 9 features more elevation changes and large mature trees forcing you to be more accurate. As long as you have reasonably length to your drives you'll be fine. The course is very playable and fair. The signature hole is #15, a 419-yard, par 4, requiring a shot down a narrow oak tree-lined fairway.
Blue tees: par-72, 6,805 yards, 71.7 / 118
White tees: par-72, 6,450 yards, 70.1 / 117
Red tees: par-72, 5,807 yards, 72.4 / 116
The Nine Hole Executive Course _________
The Nine Hole Executive Course is tight with tree-lined fairways. The 9 hole course is much shorter but features nice mature trees and elevation changes on most holes. It's a prettier layout that plays well especially for ladies or shorter hitting players. The undulating greens are medium in speed and size. The terrain is rolling with a stream that flows throughout the course and comes into play on seven holes.
Blue tees: par-34, 2,500 yards
White tees: par-34, 2,230 yards
Red tees: par-34, 1,960 yards
